Rhodium plating is a highly reflective white surface which gives a brilliant shine. Over time this surface may become dull and wear away. We can restore your jewellery to look like new again – rhodium replating gives your white gold jewellery a mirror-shine finish.

 Rings are intensively cleaned before electro-plating in a white gold rhodium finish for a brilliant white shine, using the following process:

• Ultrasonic cleaner – removes dirt from stone set jewellery
• Buffing – polishes out surface scratches
• Electro-plating –  the  jewellery surface with sufficient microns of Rhodium using our latest technology ensures a superior, high quality finish
• Steam clean – high precision steam cleaner to bring out the sparkle in your diamonds and other precious stones

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the rhodium replating last on my ring?
This depends on how often you wear your jewellery. The rhodium plating will wear away with contact and exposure to elements such as the oils on your skin, washing up liquid and moisturiser.  We recommend you remove your jewellery when doing dishes and housework to protect your rings.

Can you turn yellow gold ring into a white gold ring?
We can do this but it is not a permanent fix and will wear off in time, so the rhodium will need to be applied to keep the white finish.  If you decide you don’t like the jewellery in its new white gold appearance the rhodium plating on yellow gold can be delicately removed.

How long does the process take?

We can complete the process in our Cookstown workshop within 24 hours. If you can leave your rings in to us before noon we could even have them ready for you same afternoon. Our staff will confirm collection time.
